Nathaniel Thomas is an independent filmmaker based in the DMV area, originally from New York City. With a distinctive creative vision shaped by non-traditional shooting methods and a strong foundation in artistic principles, Nathaniel brings a fresh yet grounded perspective to his work.
A graduate of CUNY City College’s Media & Communications Arts program, Nathaniel developed his craft by capturing the rich cultural tapestry of New York City through various mediums. He mastered the complexities of filmmaking—video editing, lighting, post-production, and directing—excelling in his coursework and beyond.
Nathaniel’s diverse portfolio includes independent music videos, weddings, short films, and promotional videos, all showcasing his artistic mastery across genres. He sharpened his filmmaking skills further through an internship at Left-field Pictures and hands-on experience at Deluxe Post Production. His role as a production assistant on notable TV shows such as As the World Turns and Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares gave him invaluable industry insights.
In addition to his filmmaking expertise, Nathaniel is an accomplished editor proficient in multiple software platforms. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Baltimore, blending creative artistry with strategic acumen.
